Genesis 45:25-28

This message is one both of hope and encouragement but also one of soberness.  There is a common misconception that exists amongst many believers today in the West.  They hold that the Christian life is one only of happiness and celebration, joy and jubilation, peace and prosperity.  This message highlights through the life of Jacob that as Christians we are not immune to afflictions and tribulations.  Jacob was a man who walked with God and yet he was a man who was not immune to affliction.  He mourned his beloved son Joseph for nearly two decades thinking him to torn by a wild beast.  During this time the heavens were silent, no word was given from God as to the true condition of his son.  Then alas the thunder clouds broke giving way to the brightness of the blue skies, Joseph is yet alive!!  Whatever you are going through as a Christian, this message is bound to bring you hope and encouragement!
