So often, when the Word of God is sounded forth in preaching, many turn to their left and right ensuring themselves that the message is for another and not for them. Yet the parable of the sower which is before us presented in this message is most assuredly for you!! Precious soul, do you find yourself struggling to bear fruit in this Christian walk? Is the Word of God failing to make inroads into your heart so as to produce fruit in your life? Say not what is wrong with the Word of God but say what is wrong with the ground into which it is being sown!!
Four different soils are presented in the parable before us, representing four different conditions of the heart; the wayside, the stony, the thorny and the good. By God's grace, may we be diligent to ascertain in honesty which ground the seed finds itself in this day!
Agur was a man of great conviction, who refused to simply allow himself to drift and to say 'what will be will be'!! Unlike Agur, so many today are inclined to allow themselves to go blindly on in this life, living in complete ignorance as to their own spiritual condition! Two great perils...two great woes...are presented in this message that ought be the fear of every true believer! Two great things that we ought enquire of God in this generation of spiritual apathy; firstly that we might be kept from spiritual blindness and secondly that we might be kept from being hearers only and never doers!!
As you listen to this message, it is my prayer that you would not be satisfied with the status quo!! God indeed is calling His people to a deeper walk in the day in which we live, may God lift the scales from our eyes that we might see our TRUE spiritual condition and in seeing, do something about it!!
How We Got Our Bible (Pt.9)
In comparing the figures for the amounts and dates of the available manuscripts for classical Greco-Roman authors with that of the New Testament, there is no way that the charge can be levied against the New Testament that we cannot know what originally written whilst at the same time quoting authors of classical antiquity. This is because New Testament scholars have at their disposal some 5800 Greek manuscripts of the New Testament, some dating within decades from the original manuscripts. In short, if one is to dismiss the Bible as being reliable, then on what basis and authority does that one have to say that he knows anything of ancient secular history, seeing that the standard by which ancient history is derived, namely the manuscript evidence is absolutely eclipsed when held in comparison against the Bible!!
In this teaching we examine the manuscript evidence for the New Testament and ask the question, 'Is the Bible that we have in our hands today what was originally written down?'

The key ingredient missing in today's Christianity that was not missing in generations past is the fear and reverence of God and the things pertaining to Him! There was a time when even sinners knew, Church was not a place for joke and idle chit-chat, the sanctuary was the sanctuary!! There was no place for entertainment in the pulpit and the people of God in the pews had a great reverence for God's Word. Fast forward to this generation and the whole of worship has become one great mess of entertainment! The sacred had been consumed by the profane! Where are the clear distinguishing marks, the boundaries, separating the holy from the unholy? The clean from the unclean?
This message is a call to God's people to once again put difference between the holy and the unholy!!
How We Got Our Bible (Pt.8)
I’m sure that every Christian at some point in their experience when talking with an unbeliever about the Bible has had the accusation thrown at them that the Bible has been changed and is full of errors!! When asked this question, I usually respond by throwing the question back at the person by asking them ‘how do you know?’ It is at this point that one is greeted with a barrage of responses ranging from; ‘there are so many different versions of the Bible’ to ‘there are no originals?’ These are all very valid responses and deserve a proper response. The Christian makes a very bold claim, namely that what he holds in his hand is the Word of God. To simply assert this whilst side-stepping the issue of preservation will simply not do. The question that we have to deal with as Christians is the same question that every religion of antiquity has to deal with; namely, have we in our possession a true representation of what was originally written down?
In this teaching we seek to answer this question as it pertains to the Old Testament Scriptures.

What is the chief cause of the downfall of so many of God’s holy ministers? Why have so many risen through the ranks of usefulness in the kingdom of God, only to end in the dust of defeat? Why do so many after receiving a name, suddenly fall bringing great shame and reproach to that holy name to which their lives once brought glory and honour? The answer is contained in a five lettered word called PRIDE. In this message, we look at the life of a humble man who knew his place!! John the Baptist knew that he was the forerunner of the one who came after him of whose shoes he was worthy to untie! If any man had reason to boast, it was this man. Have you been given a ministry like unto this man’s? Did the prophets speak of you? Was you filled with the Holy Spirit from your mother’s womb? Did Christ ever say of you that among them that are born of women there hath not risen a greater prophet? Yet John the Baptist knew his place because he knew His (Messiah’s) place. His heart’s cry and confession was simple…He must increase, but I must decrease!!
How We Got Our Bible (Pt.7)
By what authority did the early Christians add additional books to the canon of Holy Scripture? How did they recognise these additional books as Scripture? Why 27 books of the New Testament and not 26 or 28? If the Old Testament was attested to by no less authority than Jesus Christ Himself, then by what authority was the New Testament received? Did a council of bishops convene in the 4th century to decide which books would make up the New Testament? If not, then how did the New Testament come to be developed? We endeavour to answer these questions in this teaching, and as we shall see, the issue of the New Testament canon cannot be tackled without placing central, the Lord Jesus Christ Himself!!

We are living in unprecedented times in this small island called Britain. Indeed, the prophet Amos warned Israel in his generation that there were days to come, when God was to send a famine into the land; not a famine of bread, nor of thirst for water, but of hearing the words of the Lord! As we survey the climate of the land of Britain, it seems apparent that a day such as this is indeed upon us as people run to and fro seeking the word of the Lord and yet are not able to find it!!
The cry of this message goes forth to the body of Christ; we need to know the Bible in context for ourselves!! The people of God lay scattered across the mountains, perishing through lack of knowledge of the Word of God. It's time again to get into the Word of God like never before!! Who will recognise the terror of these times we live in and give themselves wholly to God?
Many speak of how they cannot wait to get to heaven; but I ask why? Is it the fact that we shall walk on streets of gold? Is it the fact that there shall alas be no more weeping, no more sorrow and no more dying? Is it the fact that you shall behold again loved ones who have gone before? Dear Brethren, what makes heaven heaven is the One who abides there!! What will make heaven heaven, is the fact that we shall at last behold Him face to face!!
This is a very challenging message, calling the Body of Christ to a closer intimacy with the LORD in the secret place. Do you want to go deeper with God?
The call to follow Christ is seldom pressed upon the hearts of those coming seeking the way of salvation. We band around such cliches as "give your life to Christ" without really pondering the depth of such words! Sadly, we see that so much of Christianity today in the West is emotionally driven. Yet when men came to Jesus seeking the way of salvation He laid down plainly the cost and requirement to be His disciples. His words are clear...His words are straight...His words are convicting!! "If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me" (Mt. 16:24).
