Hebrews 11:6

The writer of Hebrews tells us that “…without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him”.   One writer, commentating upon this verse said this: “These two elements seem most simple, but, alas, how many professing Christians act as if God were not living; and how many others, though seeking after Him, are not expecting from Him as Rewarder!”.

This sermon is both an encouragement and a challenge.  There is simply no other way to walk with God so as to please Him than by faith.  The one approaching unto God must be fully persuaded that not only is God able to do what He said he would do; but that He is also willing.  We must be convinced not only of God’s power but also of His goodness!
